Songs that name the trap, envision the transformation, and call us to build the world we know is possible. Listen in succession — each track deepens the journey.
Both Sides of the Cage opens with a single electric guitar — two descending notes, E to D, twice. A door closing. Then the voice enters, weary and knowing: "They hand you a ballot / With two names on it / And both of them owe / Someone you've never met." This is the diagnosis. Gregory Bateson's double bind — a trap that cannot be escaped by playing the game. The chorus names it plainly: "Both sides of the cage are still the cage." But the song doesn't end in despair. It ends with the highest note, the choir at full power, and a declaration: "We are the door." This is the anthem that greets every visitor to this movement — because before we can build something new, we must see clearly what we're building it from.
These six songs form the opening arc of the movement's musical journey — from diagnosis to action. More songs are in production. Each track is designed to be listened to in sequence, building an emotional narrative that mirrors the TRAP to TRIP transformation. Share these songs, and share the movement.
